Sly Litwin, proud pooch of the Casa Litwin home lived a happy
and active life for twelve and a half years. His lifetime accomplishments included treating everyone he crossed paths with,
with friendliness, gentleness, and fun. He also loved to meet new dogs on walks and at the park.
He enjoyed traveling. His latest vacations included a family
trip to Lake Havasu where he relaxed aside a sparkling pool and grand views, and munched on his favorite snacks, including
the infamous Basha's Chips. One year at Lake Havasu he decided to gulp down an entire bag of these tasty chips, including
the bag itself! He also, just recently, took an exciting trip to just outside of Reno, where he ran for hours over his own
private half an acre. He ran, chased birds, and enjoyed the outdoors for hours upon hours in our rented home. Sly
never really grew old. At twelve and a half, he had the energy of a five year-old dog. He almost always had a smile on his
face, and a fun strut in his stride.
Last night, on November 5th, 2007, he decided it was time
to meet God and leave from his home here in Orange, CA. He was a bit tired, and we knew that instead of suffering here, he
wanted to go take off on another one of his exciting vacations, this time to somewhere up above.
I can see him this morning, somewhere up there, running in
a huge open green field, beyond the pearly white doggie gates, frolicking with other dogs, most likely Abbey, and enjoying
life to the fullest as he always has. One of Sly's loves of life was to find a large open grassy field and just run through
it, for hours upon hours. He loved this with all of his heart. Sly always was a happy dog, sharing his love with his
pop and mama. He would sit by the fire with us in the evenings, take us for walks, entertain us, or be entertained by
us!
He loved to
roll on the carpet. Whenever he found a nice, thick, carpet, he would just roll and roll, and would be so satisfied with just
that. Sly has left behind his mama Laurie, and his pop, Adam. Even though he is with us in our minds and hearts, he will
be truly missed. We loved him very much. To Sly we say enjoy your new life our friend, companion and son, until we come
to join you someday. We love you Sly.
